West Coast of Cape Town

The West Coast region stretches from just a few kilometers north of Cape Town (Milnerton) up to Lamberts Bay. Even further north is Namaqualand. This travel area is extremely diverse and is often underestimated. Yet there is so much to experience: Coastlines, seafood specialties, rooibos plantations, lonely mountain regions, semi-deserts, flower shows in almost every town between August and October and much more. The landscape is increasingly changing and is characterized by the dry and harsh climate, which is determined by the cold Benguela Sea current (from the Antarctic). The West Coast and its towns have a very special charm, which is often perceived by tourists as more fascinating than the Garden Route, for example!
