The "False Bay"
Along the False Bay coast, temperatures are generally higher than on the west coast. For example, the average annual temperature in False Bay south of Cape Town is 4 °C higher than in Cape Town's Table Bay. The diving areas near Cape Town are mainly in False Bay, although certain areas are also considered shark areas and should be avoided. The diving area around Cape Hangklip is also well-known and popular.
Warm bathing water at the coastal resorts
Above all, the False Bay coast is characterized by the beautiful and well-kept coastal resorts from Gordon's Bay, Somerset West to Muizenberg, Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay, in addition to the significantly warmer bathing water. Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of the peninsula are the icing on the cake.
