Langebaan is a small vacation resort at the northern end of the West Coast National Park. The constantly growing vacation resort of Langebaan offers plenty of overnight accommodation for bird lovers who want to go birdwatching in the early hours of the morning and look out for flamingos, for example. The town also offers all kinds of water sports activities in Langebaan Lagoon, such as fishing, water skiing, sailing, diving, seakayaking, stand-up paddling and especially kitesurfing. The central point with restaurants, information center and providers of various activities is Bree Street, which branches off from the thoroughfare to Main Beach. Langebaan has an excellent infrastructure for travelers with supermarkets, accommodation, etc.
As you leave Langebaan, turn left towards Club Mykonos (which you will pass next to the Strandloper outdoor restaurant) and follow the road and signs until you reach Saldanha. Incidentally, Club Mykonos (hence the vacation homes, whose architecture is reminiscent of Greece) is a large and well-kept vacation home complex that is also open to visitors. There are often small markets and events here - there is a restaurant at the marina that is particularly popular with day trippers from Cape Town at the weekend.
