The two neighboring districts of Woodstock and Salt River, former industrial areas, are an experience with their backyard galleries, designer stores, lofts, cafés, artists' studios in old factory buildings and the organic weekly market. The following should be highlighted here: The Foundry artist studio (160 Albert Rd.), the numerous house walls covered with graffiti and murals or the building of an old brewery (6 Beach Rd.), into which several modern small businesses have moved.
Two micro-breweries, the Woodstock Brewery (252 Albert Rd.) and the Devils Peak Brewery, delight visitors with good craft beers. Both offer a bar and a small restaurant.
The Neighbourgoods Market in the Old Biscuit Mill (373 Albert Rd., between Mill and Stowe Sts.), which takes place on Saturdays, is particularly popular and a happening with its market and unusual snack and designer stalls. In the adjacent buildings of the former flour mill, there are designer stores and restaurants open Mon-Sat (often also Sun), including the trendy bar-restaurant Pot Luck Club on the 6th floor of the silo with a beautiful panoramic view.
